Fannie May, not just Chocolate

A contractor was informed in the morning he was being let go for a script error he made. He was allowed to work the rest of the day with no access restrictions. Result:

“A script designed to block the company’s monitoring system, disable access to the server on which it was running, then systematically wipe out all 4,000 Fannie Mae servers, overwriting all their data with zeroes.”

This is why terminations cannot be soft and cuddly in a lot of cases.
